The team is led by the
Medical Manager Dr Victor Fredlund. Having
trained in London (UK), Dr Fredlund moved to
Mseleni in 1981 after completing his House Officer years and has stayed
here ever since.

Dr Kobus
Viljoen studied medicine in Bloemfontein. After some time working in
the private sector and overseas he arrived at Mseleni in 2002.

Dr Lyn Dowds arrived in
2006 having worked in various hospitals in her home Northern Ireland
as an SHO.

Dr Joseph Mganu is in his first year after CommServ.
Originally from Manguzi (Thongaland),
Dr Mganu trained in Cuba,
spending his final year in the University
of Pretoria.

Dr Peter O’Farrell
studied at Wits and is doing a year as a CommServ
at Mseleni.
|

South African born and bred,
Dr Sandy Inglis is a UCT graduate. He did house jobs at Edendale
in 1990 before working overseas for the last 20 years. He specialized as an
Emergency Medicine consultant in Australia
and New Zealand
and is now back doing “community service”.

Dr Anna Partridge is a
UK graduate (Leeds-2007) working as a volunteer doctor at Mseleni for 3
months before returning to New Zealand to continue her training.

Dr Afsana
Bhuiya graduated from medical school in London (UK) and is currently between
ST2 and ST3 years of GP training. She is working here at Mseleni for one
year.

Dr Lungile
Hobe studied medicine at University
of KwaZuluNatal.
She is now post CommServ and has been at Mseleni
for 7 months.

Dr Clement Mthembu is doing a year of CommServ.
Having studied in Cuba
and then Durban,
he did his internship in Ladysmith before joining us in Mseleni.

Dr Jo Thorne graduated
from medical school in London (UK) and is currently between ST2 and ST3
years of GP training. She is working here at Mseleni for one year.
