The project was started in 1989 by a group of individuals interested in making Mseleni a better place to live. A variety of things have been done:

  • Block making
  • Toilet construction
  • Tractors
  • Gardens
  • Water systems
  • Building supplies
  • Library
  • Small business development
  • Youth AIDS action
  • Community Hall
  • Market place
  • Computer centre
  • Road construction
  • Bursaries for health care students

The big issue at present is the lack of job opportunities for school leavers.
